Customer Review: Striking but snug
My wrist is too large for standard watches to be comfortable. I had a flexible rope cuff watch that I loved and wore constantly for three years. When it died, I had to find a replacement. I decided that I like cuff style bracelets because they are easy to take off when washing my hands - I don't like moisture trapped under the band so most expandable, leather or plastic bands are out.
This watch is certainly striking, and I have received a lot of compliments. It's a unique color, and the shaping of the face is different - it's not just a plain square face. The watch is a substantial size, akin to the slap bracelets that were so popular for awhile.
However, it is a snug fit. Although the hinged cuff design does enable it to fit on my wrist and stay on snugly, it is still tight enough that it leaves an impression in my skin all the way around. I tried to keep the inner surface dry, but the pitting that occurred on the band proved I wasn't entirely successful. A coat of clear nail polish will prevent the finish from being destroyed by sweat and lotions.
It's okay, but I'm still searching for a watch I can wear either at work or on a camp out.
